Embracing Rest: A Journey Beyond the Wellness Industry Hustle

In a world where the hustle, the grind, and the constant pursuit of doing more have become the norm, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and lost in the sea of competitiveness, especially in the wellness industry.

As someone deeply rooted in the realms of wellness, Ayurveda, Yoga, and Health Coaching, I've found myself standing at a crossroads, questioning the very essence of my journey.

The culture of 'do more' and the constant push to stand out in a saturated market often leaves me feeling exhausted, disconnected, and weighed down.

After mindless scrolling on IG, revealing the insidious impact of comparison and the constant pressure to 'do more,' I made the decision to take time away from my Instagram account and reclaim my authenticity. Tired of the saturation of a culture that perpetuates a 'pick me' mentality, I need a break from the external noise that makes me question my worth and contribution.

As I navigate the season of Winter, a time traditionally associated with quiet, rest, and introspection, I plan to consciously embrace the concept of hibernation, and take an intentional pause to heal, rest, and self-reflect.

In the midst of this struggle, I find solace in the upcoming milestone of graduating with a 300hr Ayurvedic Yoga Certificate - I am more than half way there! My journey towards becoming an Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist and Ayurvedic Health Counselor is a testament to my commitment to continuous learning, but also my commitment to not only offering these teachings, but embodying these teachings, as the biggest lesson learned over these past seven months is that living in alignment with what I teach is paramount.

As I move forward in my training, I carry the awareness that true authenticity lies in living and teaching in alignment with my beliefs, passions, and values. My goal is not to compete but to collaborate, not to exploit but to empower. The wellness journey should be a collective experience, not a solitary pursuit.

In conclusion, I invite you to join me in embracing a paradigm shift – from the relentless hustle to a mindful, purpose-driven existence. Let's redefine success in the wellness industry, placing emphasis on connection, community, and genuine healing.

But first, let's Winter Well!

Let's cozy up to a fire, with a cup of tea, soothing music, and a book in hand.

Let's bundle up and take chilly winter strolls with friends that see us, hear us, and support us.

Let's take time to journal or draw, putting our aspirations down on paper, so they can be planted and sowed come Spring.

Let's spend time with people that not only lift us up in our power, but also in our weakness-as we can't have one without the other.

Let's take time to truly align.
